I was laying in in bed last night listing off to myself all the things I'm afraid of... and it seems to be a long list lol..
What are you afraid of??... and not just things like heights and small spaces... but things like natural disasters, another 9/11 etc.
I'm afraid of heights and falling, big time but I find myself afraid of some other things too... things like my house catching on fire getting into a car accident; w/or w/o ds in the car being in the wrong place at the wrong time something happening to my husband or child the world coming to an end before I can see my son grow up getting cancer drowning terrorist attacks on our cities.......
among some other things probably that I just can't think of...

Things I'm afraid of: Heights Being around a lot of people My child getting a terminal illness Not seeing my DD grow up (if I died or she died), I'm not afraid of death, just the result of my death on DD) Drowning or aphyxiating.
Things I once feared, but don't anymore:
Fire/My house burning down, it was almost a phobia (It happened! Now that we have been through it, I no longer fear it) Public Speaking Death

I have the same list as Sarah with some additions
My children getting cancer, or dying young
Walking into my babies room to find him not alive....I don't sleep at all the first year even with a snuza on!
A horrible pandemic of a virus that will kill everyone that gets it.
Zombies---it could happen!
Having my children kidnapped...probably worst fear of all of them.

Most of the stuff above--- Plus.. I do not like getting my face wet,, fear of car being underwater (off bridge, etc) being chased by a cow (grew up on farm and had to chase them -- chased by bull once too) something happening to my kids (sick, accident, etc) being dependent on someone for basic stuff (eating, moving, bathing, etc)

I'm afraid of being abandoned--I hate when I turn around and DH isn't where he was before.
I'm afraid of being trapped--can't stand if my arms are stuck at my sides.
I'm afraid of mazes--the kind you walk around in.
Not a lot of other fears. Many of the things mentioned above are tragedies and accidents that I certainly hope do not happen. But I'm not afraid of them.

I try not to be afraid and recognize that I will deal with things in life as they come the best I possibly can, however since becoming a mom I do have more fears about the well being of DH, DS and myself. I am not sure what I would do if something really bad happened to either one of them and the only reason I am afraid of dying is the impact it would have on DH & DS.
The only "weird" thing I am afraid of is: cows (like deannemdm!). I don't like to be too close to cows, even at the State Fair they kind of freak me out.
I also have some claustrophobia issues when it comes to tunnels and such (like tube slides). I think that stems from watching the "Baby Jessica Story" when I was in elementary school about the toddler who was trapped in a well. I remember being freaked out climbing through a tunnel in a snow fort we made and worrying it would collapse on me, it is worse when I lie on my back instead of my stomach. I have to talk myself into going down tube slides with DS.

The only things I really fear are: underwater aquariums- I'm afraid they'll crack and I'll get caught in them and drown; heights, I have issues being higher than the second rung of a ladder or the second floor of a mall; and the process of dying, death doesn't scare me, but the weeks following up to the end result seems so tiring, painful and confusing. The third one didn't start until I saw my Grandmother dying in the hospital, she didn't have a clue where she was or what was going on.
