I want to start making foods and putting some flax seed in some of our foods. My question is: Is flax seed in the nut family? Ds is allergic to all nuts. I don't want to use flax oil just the flax seed.
TIA

I think it is not peanut safe. The kind I use is made at a peanut facility. Some brands are 100% safe tho... I do not know what kinds. I always mix it in easy mix things especially ds food!

Also, if you were to use flax seed in your food what would you put it in?
Ds has a allergy dr check up coming up later this month so I will defintely be asking the dr. I am interested in making helathy stuff for my family, cooking healthy not that I wasn't b4.
Also, where can you buy flax seed does anyone know?

I was thinking of putting them into brownines, etc. Wonder if Target sells it.
