I've gone without a blender and gotten by with a smoothie machine for a couple of years, but I really do need a blender.
DH really insists that we buy a Ninja which also has capabilities of a juicer. Being the more frugal half, I'm tempted to go a cheaper route.
Any suggestions??

What do you plan to use it for? And how often?
I had an Oster that was OK at first, but we did daily breakfast smoothies, with whole fruit and veggies and it kicked the bucket after a few months. After that I got a Cuisinarte and that is the one I still have several years later. It held up to that kind of use. We hadn't used it much lately, but it got near daily use for a few years there and is still in great shape. I have heard that Vitamix is the way to go for serious juicing, but it costs some serious, um, juice.

I saw the Ninja blender on one of those shopping networks, I want one but they are pricey!! I miss having a blender.

Thanks Sharon!
I would mainly be using it for smoothies a few times a week, but have been interested in juicing as well. That's what's tough...
