Ladies, I saw this on facebook today and wanted to pass the information on. Prevent Child Sexual Abuse, by having schools educating children on sexual abuse in a child friendly manner. PASS ERIN'S LAW at the federal level. Urge the United States House of Representatives, the United States Senate, and President Obama to pass ERIN'S LAW at the federal level. Go HERE: www.change.org/petitions/prevent-child-sexual-abuse-pass-erins-law-at-the-federal-level?utm_campaign=share_button_modal&utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=share_petition# and SIGN!Please take the time to read through some of this girls information and story. Not only is it compelling, it brings to light a good point that kids are NOT educated about "good touch, bad touch" and while I understand that at some point it is the parents responsibility to do that, some of those parents are the ones doing the abusing. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE sign this. It is so important!

When I was 4-7 years old I was sexually abused and physically abused by my step dad. It took me over 12 years to be able to forgive him. There are still points in my life though, 20 years later, when I think back to those days and think "why didn't my mom talk to me about that, or my teacher?" And let's be honest, it's not a topic most parents want to bring up. It's not something you want to discuss with your 6 year old. But should you? Yes. Should our schools? Yes. Children NEED to be educated on sexual abuse and what that means just as much as tornado drills, emergency evacuations, and where to go when there's a fire. Please bring this to light, and help bring it to a federal level. It only takes a moment to sign, and the number of children you may be helping in the end can be endless.

It IS so important! My DD was sexually assaulted by her 'boyfriend' when she was 14 years old on the school grounds. She has anxiety every day because we weren't able to charge his due to not enough evidence. Please sign this to prevent this from happening to someone else.
Thanks Amy!

I signed this!
In college I helped a friend deal with childhood sexual abuse. It was an awful time for her and when she spoke out she lost her extended family because it was a male cousin who had done it to her. What finally made her confront the demon was when his abuser's wife was pregnant and she knew that she had to tell the truth of those horrible encounters while playing "hide and seek" she wanted to ensure that this new child didn't endure what she had. It was such a hard time in her life.

Wow I think this is a good idea. I was raped and molested at 5yrs old by my moms boyfriend. It could have started earlier but I don't remember. In fact I blocked it out for several years and started having reoccuring nightmares about it. It caused me to be pretty messed up as a kid. I became extremely depressed and started drinking heavily and smoking a lot of pot to kill the pain.
If this bill can prevent another kid from having to live through that or at least catch some warning signs I am all for it!
