My kids love felt boards. I made the boards with some canvases from Michaels and then I stapled felt onto them. I bought the felt pieces from www.storytellingfun.com/ she is also on etsy as storytellingfun

Just wondering, did you make or buy a 3 ring zipper binder for your pencil cases? Good idea of organizing the things you have!!!
I just want to affirm and encourage you in doing a good job in looking for more activity ideas for your ds!!!!
Now is a good time to get more supplies you may need, since school supplies are on sale.

Another idea would be to make a schedule for a toy rotation. Rotate his toys every few weeks so he doesn't get bored. Have a good variety of play vs educational.
I think his rowdy and trouble causing behavior has to do with the baby on the way more than the toys! He senses the change and is looking for ways to express how he feels.

I agree lil.. he's been better though since I put the train set away and brought the little peopl back out. I tend to rotate big things like that on a monthly basis... or switch upstairs and downstairs toys. The only problem with putting things away away is having a good place to store it!
