We may have to purchase a new washer and dryer sooner than we thought. We’re still torn between front loading and top loading. We have old (very old) front loaders now, under a countertop. So we have to bend down all the time. We had newer front loaders at our last house, but they were stacked so they were a bit smaller. We’ve been in our current home about year. I liked the idea of front loaders on pedestals, seems it would just make things easier. But it seems the top loaders have come a long way. I still feel like a front loader would get clothes cleaner and be a bit more gentle.
What do you have and what do you like/dislike about it?? We’re really having a hard time deciding.

We have front loaders. To be honest, I think we only got them because they did better on Consumer Reports and what not. I like mine, I don't mind the bending over aspect of the front loaders--I feel like you're either bending over and reaching down into the top loaders or bending/squatting down to reach into the front loaders so it evens out! I like the HE (High Efficiency?) aspect so you can use less laundry detergent. The ones we replaced were SO OLD I'm sure the top loaders have similar features now, like the "wrinkle prevent" setting so the dryer will keep going periodically if you can't get to your laundry to fold it right away.
Sorry, I don't know if this is very helpful! My feelings are that I like my washer and dryer just fine, I have nothing to rave about particularly but they do a good solid job.

I like my front loaders too... I have back issues so I wish they were on pedestals but it works out ok... I just keep an Ikea step stool in there so I can sit on it and reach the washer and dryer without having to bend and reach much...
I feel like my clothes are cleaner too... My mom has older top loaders and they just never felt clean enough! And no detergent stains lol

I have front loaders, but I have them on a pedestal. I like how they clean blankets so well. I also got mine to wash cloth diapers. You also have some build you a stand to raise them up. My dad just built a wooden stand for my mom so she didn't have to bend over.
