I was really afraid last year when I got a call from my neighbor that DS didn't get off the bus after school. Fortunately he had just been dropped off a stop early and made his way over, but it was very scary! The last time I was really excited was when we sold our old house last week

Really afraid: The one that pops into mind first is the time I was living in Chicago (senior year of college) and left a friend's apt at 1am and took the "El" by myself. It took forever at that time of night and I was terrified the whole time. I never did it again (just stayed at my friends).
Really excited: When I passed my defense for my thesis and was done with graduate school!

Really afraid: When I was told that I had to deliver DD two months early. The first night I was checked into the hospital (10PM at night), my DH won't bring me some books or anything. I was given some magnesium and despite that it was supposed make me sleepy, I was awake worried all night long with only my thought of "would this baby make it?"
Really excited: DD and I are planning a trip to visit my mom in AZ. It is finally close (end of March), so the excitement is building.

Scared - When they told me the chances of DS2 being born really early, since I dilated and went into labor at 21 weeks, were extremely high and I had the option to abort at that time. Well, screw them, I made it to 35 weeks and he only spent 13 days in the NICU. The power of a mother's love.
Excited - When I got super cheap airfare to FL for our trip in March.

Scared: well...unfortunately it was the day Ari passed away. Scariest day of my life.
Excited: When we had DD2. We didn't know what we were having so being able to be the first to know and pull her out myself was pretty stinking awesome and exciting!

scared: There are two... the days after Ari passed away were very scary to me, with Ella being only a few days younger than her! And the accident I got into 2 weeks before moving to MN... I hit ice and spun my car and flipped my car into an embankment. I should've hit the concrete wall on the other side... that's the way I was spinning, who knows what would've happened then! Not sure how I spun in that direction and all of a sudden was flung the other way! no injuries to me or my car... I had thrown my hands up to my face letting go of the wheel and said a prayer... I have believed in miracles ever since! Excited: I guess recently DH told me I could plan an extra trip to go see my family! I was excited! I can stay for however long I want too, both times... so I could easily stay three-4 weeks each time! Just have to see how long I can live with mom! BAH HAHAHA Thinking about it.. I guess the Colorado movie theatre shooting and Newtown really scared me a lot too... I get easily shaken by those kinds of things!

Scary I have a few- The day natalie choked. She turned blue and went completely limp in my arms. Ill never forget the 911 dispatchers reaction when I got her to breathe and she started crying and puking. He said "thank you Jesus. She's going to be okay mama." The day my niece passed was the other big one. We were with her when she was pulled off life support and i was so terrified she would show signs of suffering. Thankfully, she passed very peacefully.
Most excited: probably right before delivering natalie and right after. And, also on our wedding day!
