How do you get a 1 yr. old to keep her bib on!!? Our daughter turned 1 the end of October and she’s never liked her bib. We have the pullover ones but she still gets them off. I know kids are messy and you can only do so much, but when the foods get messier I want her to keep her bib on! We’ve tried sitting there and holding the bottom of it so she can’t pull it off, but she just fights it and we can only sit there so long. Please tell me this is a phase that will pass...soon?! Anyone else had experience with this? What did you to handle the mess? Thanks!

Some days it's just easier to eat naked. Skin is easier to wipe up than washing all those clothes.
Sorry I don't have any other advice for keeping it on.

I agree.....let her eat naked....I had to do that with my kids when I knew dinner was going to be messier than what the bib could keep clean! I still have my 2 year old eat in just a diaper some days because she is still a messy one!

try the apron kind.. they tie behind the neck and around the waist... I don't know if I've seen them in stores but know someone back home who made a couple.. you can even do another tie around the chest area lol or snaps might work better; those would be harder to get off!

I agree with letting them eat naked, I did that often with my DD around that age.

IKEA sells the bibs that look like painters smocks (with full arms), but they only velcro, so might be easy for her to take off. DS leaves them on.

I agree with the ladies above, just have her eat naked. I did that with DD all the time. Much easier to deal with when she's eating messy food!
