I want to thank those who worked through Thanksgiving.
To the people at the electric company: without you I couldn't have eaten that turkey that was roasted in the oven.
To the people at the phone company: I couldn't have called my long distance relatives I couldn't be with.
To the hospital workers: without you many people would have died from food allergies, stress from relatives, or heart conditions from cleaning the house and making it presentable for those who were visiting.
To the police: who made sure everyone got home safely.
To the gas station attendants: anyone who was driving long distance to get someplace wouldn't have gotten far if they couldn't have refilled the gas tank.
To the pilots and everyone who works at the airport including those who fuel the planes to those who load the planes: without you people couldn't have gotten to visit long distance relatives. To the train conductors: some people don't fly or drive but still need to get somewhere.
To the people that run the movie theaters: many love watching a movie after the meal, you've always been there for a good laugh.
You have been working through Thanksgiving for years and will for years to come. Thank you for making the holiday easier.

I TOTALLY AGREE, WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!!!! AWESOME POSTING!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU FOR EMT'S transporting patients to the hospital, otherwise, they may have died if it wasn't for you intervening and transporting them.
THANK YOU FOR OUR MILITARY MEN AND WOMEN who do their jobs to protect the freedom for all of us in this country.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE COOKS, RESTAURANTS, CHARITIES and VOLUNTEERS so people could have food to eat for THANKSGIVING DINNER, for without you, people would have gone hungry. Thank you, especially to LadyAndreaRose for cooking Thanksgiving Dinner at her work for those who were working, like the Police Officers, so they'd have a hot meal.
I know of The Prayer Center in North Minneapolis served Thanksgiving Dinner Wednesday (about 250 people) Thursday about 100 people at their location and they also delivered about 100 Meals on Wheels type of delivery for those unable to get out to get it for themselves.
I'm Thankful that I was feeling well enough to volunteer, serving Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday at The Prayer Center. I also met two young women (sisters) there, who are tornado survivors, and they were volunteering and serving others at the Thanksgiving Dinner. I was able to connect them with Urban Homeworks Wednesday afternoon (before they closed for Thanksgiving), to try and get some help with their "slum landlord" problems, and find a new place to rent.
