I guess I never took that into consideration Cissy. He will be 5 months short of 4 next fall so another year he would be fine then the next year Kindergarten? I'm not sure how that all works around here?!
I'm anxious for the open house to talk with them more about the days of the week. Supposedly most kids who are in 5 days a week were in daycare in the past that is why they go 5 days since they may be getting more out of it then a daycare. Thanks for the tips!

Your DS's Bday is February? He will have 3 yrs of preschool before Kindergarten then. They have to be 5 before September for them to go to Kindergarten. So my son who will turn 3 in a little over a week will be 5 1/2 when he starts Kindergarten, my 5 yr old is in Kindergarten and he turns 6 in 3 weeks.

This confuses me....if Love's son turns 3 in Feb and starts preschool in the fall at 3 1/2 he would have 2 years of preschool. Sep 2011 (3 1/2), Sep 2012 (4 1/2) and kindergarten in 2013 at 5 1/2.

Your off a year but yea thats right, I was off. Seriously my kid is going to start Kindergarten in 2 1/2 years, I thought I had more time with this kid, guess I have to start figuring things out.
Ok Love 2 yrs of preschool, so you could do 3 days a week this next year and then 5 days a week the year after to get him used to going to school all the time.

We went to the st. paul school fair today...talk about information overload! I'm excited though because they have an awesome selection of schools, and they're all free! It was bittersweet though, because I realized how fast hes growing up

Well we went to the open house Monday and it was awesome. DS loved it and had a great time. I turned in the check today. So it is official. He will be going 3 days a week (I debated this for a long time) but in the end it will be great. He was very excited to see the school again. Thanks for the insiders!

Last year I enrolled my son in 2 day a week preschool when he was 4, which was a huge adjustment for him. There were months when he cried every time I left him. I am a stay at home mom and have no family or friends nearby, so he was completely overwhelmed by being away from me. I think if I would have started at 3 it might have been a better adjustment. We went with the preschool at the Family Center Mall in Coon Rapids, it was a really great environment and the teachers were excellent.
