As interesting as polls are, nothing counts but the final vote and sometimes that has to be recounted, and I have a feeling that something will this time around.

I can't genuinely believe that gay people are voting yes. I'm sorry but that sounds like an excuse. I am proud to vote no and hope that in the future we can talk about moving our country forward and allow same sex marriage, rather than talk about moving our country backwards!

I don't believe Gay people are voting yes either. That's just idiotic - to vote for yourself being discriminated against.

This is really the MAIN reason why DH and I are voting this year (this is his first time voting)....all the vote yes signs in my neighborhood make me sad

I wasn't nervous before. I was terribly confident in our state and in our people. But then as I was walking out of my polling station I burst into tears. Just seeing the terrible amendment on the ballot in person just broke my heart. I couldn't stop thinking about all of the terrible things voting "yes" stand for. I am saddened by how many people think that voting "yes" is the right thing to do because they just don't understand what it really means. Some of the smartest people I know believe the wrong things about this- they believe the lies that they keep hearing- and so to that end the bullies are succeeding. It hurts my heart so much.
