Ok, this sounds horrible, I know. I need some pot roast help!! Cub has a good deal right now where if you buy a roast, you get free carrots, onion and potatoes. I'd love to do a pot roast in the crock pot, but *gasp* have never done one before! I want to make sure it's super tender and juicy and full of flavor! Should I add water, or stock? Do I add all the veggies right away, or after a while? Any and all advice, tips, and ideas are welcome!!

I put everything in right away and sprinkle with garlic salt. No water or stock. Cook all day on low. I have also put the carrots and potatoes in the last 2 hours of cooking but made sure the potatoes were cut in halves or quarters. Mine always turns out tender and juicy. Good Luck

I toss a little water in mine, since I am home all day I can slowly add the food but I have added it all in the morning. I will also add Liptons Onion Soup to mine for flavor.

I use a little beef stock with mine and lots of seasonings of all different kinds depending on my mood. If you want a gravy with it u can throw in a can of cream of mushroom with some Lipton onion soup mix. I put my veggies in right away as well. Cook at least 8 hrs on low. Good luck!

I usually cut the carrot, potatoes and place on the bottom. I put the roast on top, season w/ montreal steak seasoning, soy sauce and a can of mushroom soup. I add one cup of water and put on low for ten hours. Oh yea, onions for me go on top.

Looking at the coupons, it looks like it starts tomorrow and goes through the next week.
