I have a hard time eating breakfast too but lately I've been having these: www.emeraldbreakfastonthego.comThey are not too heavy for right away in the morning but they are filling and very tasty!

How about these ideas:
*Peanut butter toast and a banana *Oatmeal and a slice of toast with jelly *2 egg whites and 2 slices of turkey bacon *Yogurt parfait - use greek yog. for the extra protein and fruits loaded with antioxidants like blueberries
Try to stay away from high sugar foods and cereals, they will leave you hungry and have little to no nutritional value. I know you are needing to make a lifestyle change and diet is a HUGE part of that. Good Luck Love.

Eating shortly after I wake up NEVER happens. I force myself to eat a banana, apple, or grapes just to get something in my system. Mixed nuts (almonds especially) have filled me up until Lunch, so ApryllRaye's suggestion might be a nice non-breakfast-like alternative.

These are all great ideas thanks ladies! I have the time since DS eats bfast, just nothing usually sounds good that isn't too sugary for me. I look forward to what the nutritionist recommends. I think she could give me a few ideas as well. The original nurse said they just want me to eat, even if it is a small slice of pizza.

Absolutely Love. It does NOT have to be breakfast food. I have an odd friend in WA who heats up leftovers for her family for breakfast. It's weird to me but totally normal for them to eat roast beef or chinese food for breakfast.

I wake up starving! I'm very routine and stick to my few favs: plain oatmeal with cinnamon, toast, egg whites, greek yogurt. Now, I don't have all this every day, just usual a combo of a couple things. Always under 300 cals.

In the winter I eat a lot of steel-cut oatmeal with cinnamon, brown sugar, walnuts or pecans, and raisins. In the summer I eat vanilla yogurt with granola (preferably Lakewind's house-made granola, soooooo yummy). I love omelets but they take too long to make most mornings. Other days it's a piece of toast with PB and honey.

I used to "eat" Instant Breakfast each morning right away, then a granola bar mid-morning. I wake up starving but don't like to take time to make breakfast Monday-Friday so I would mix up the Instant Breakfast and drink it in the car on my way to work. Quick and easy, just like drinking chocolate milk.
