I'm sorry but I found it boring. Mr. Bean made me laugh and I thought the torch was pretty cool other than that....I really had no interest in anything they were doing.

It was very British! While it was very dry and at times boring, there were definitely some entertaining parts!! The music was awesome, the digital/social media part was a little strange, Mr. Bean - awesome! I also didn't like the quality of the movie that was interspersed throughout. It was almost as if they were streaming something from the internet, through the tv...the quality was awful!! However, I loved how quick the parade of nations was, and the lighting of the cauldron was beautiful as well. The part that stood out the most for me, however, is that no matter all the BS that some countries are going through, the fact that all athletes and representatives of all the countries can come together in peace and harmony is beautiful.

Great start to the games!!! Love lochte .. I think Phelps has been a little too full of himself to only feel the need to train for that event for less than a year..not surprised he didn't metal... he barely made it past the semis! yayy for men's gymnastics too!

I was thinking the same thing Sarah! Phelps was totally a sore loser....I hope Ryan takes gold in all of his races!!! Men's gymnastics was awesome, love John Orozco!! Misty May and Kerry were awesome as usual...the Aussie women were great too!!

The local newspaper from back "home" spoiled the swimming results for me!!! I was so upset. They didn't put spoiler alert or anything just put out there plain as day on their FB status! No one was happy with that lol. Excited to watch gymnastics tonight!

Did anyone watch the men's water polo?!?!? I could never play that game. Can you imagine how wore out they have to be after a game!?!?

Yes, we watched. Well, mostly Ian. It did not hold my interest, but he was pretty glued to the action.

I watched waterpolo and rowing and napped some during beach volleyball (long weekend w/ lots of family, fun but tiring) and now watching women's gymnastics. Hoping to go to the gym tomorrow night after DS is in bed and watch while on treadmill or elliptical so I don't feel so lazy watching these amazing athletes

Missy Franklin is fun to watch in swimming, can't believe she is 17 and swam on her h.s. team last year.

The whole gymnastics all around deal really sucks! I love Bella K, he was so fired up about it so hopefully it will change the next time around.
HUGE controversy around that Chinese swimmer....her split was faster than Lochte's! As a former swimmer I find that really hard to believe. I hate that the Chinese are now invading swimming, can't they just keep their controversy in gymnastics?!?! LOL

I guess I missed the swimming controversy...will have to look that up later when I have more time. But definitely difficult to have a faster split time than Lochte for a female
