Hannah- Sorry your in-laws weren't excited for your pregnancy. Recognizing that I only know what you have posted here about the situation, I am wondering if it would be good for you and DH to have a conversation with them about how you are feeling regarding their reaction. When my brother and SIL announced they were pregnant when my niece was 14 months they did it by her wearing a t-shirt. I was shocked for a number of reasons (one that my niece who is now a wonderful 3 year old, was a very, very difficult baby) but mainly for me it was feeling mixed emotions about my husband and I not being able to have more children and how difficult it was for us to get pregnant and how easy it seemed for them. I was hurt/jealous, etc and really caught off-guard. I talked to my brother about it at length because I felt horrible about my initial response. I am very involved in my niece and nephew's lives and really close to my brother and SIL and just was really caught off guard by the announcement and my own response. Again, not sure what is going on with the in-laws, but they may have just been really caught off guard.
Congrats bschneid!
Sarah & Amy - hoping it is soon for both of you and can't wait to see pics!

Dara I am not sure what was going on in their heads. They knew we wanted another baby soon. We could never sit down and talk with them about it unfortunately... that's just not something they do. They are the most awkward and horrible communicators I have ever met. Here is an example or two..... Dh's Grandpa was in the hospital for two weeks before we even found out about it.... when Dh's dad was in a SEVERE motorcycle accident we didn't find out about it for hours after the fact. Once his parents went on a two week vacation and we didn't even know. This sort of stuff happens all the time because they don't talk. It is weird and selfish and I really can't take it anymore because I know they do talk about us behind our backs all the time.

Sorry Hannah! That is frustrating that they are such poor communicators. I hope they can come around once the baby is here (for some reason I almost put "she", guess I'm hoping for a girl for you!).

Hannah and I will be there soon! Good luck! I remember with the last how uncomfortable the last few weeks can be. I am headed back to work next week (teacher...summer off). I wasnt planning on announcing it so soon, but I feel like i kind of have to. I also recounted...I am one week further along than i thought. LOL.

My tummy sticks out so much now and I can't suck it in but I also know it's just my fat being pushed out so I am still embarrassed by it

My morning sickness normally is bad enough where I will lose tons of weight but not this time around...of course, the time where I actually could lose some pounds My due date is undetermined as of yet but I think it should land around April 6th or so.

appointment today went well.. still 70 percent effaced, but only 1.5 cm dialated... Doc doesn't expect baby this weekend, but ya never know! baby's heart rate and my blood pressure are perfect and my only instruction was to eat more lol since being sick earlier in the pregnancy and losing 35 lbs I still havent managed to gain back more than 20 of those lbs... doc is hoping to get baby to 6.5 lbs by birth, but said were more than likely looking at a 6lbish baby. Not concerned though considering small runs in mine and my husband's family!
