Sarah- my son was 6.5, and I was 5.8. Both of us healthy! I am also slightly above average height and my son is getting to be a big kid too. So, dont fret! 6 lbs is great, she'll catch up later.

Well, no baby this weekend over here. Lost my mucus plug Friday night (yuck, I know) and was losing more over the entire weekend. Saturday morning went to the fair, did PLENTY of walking. Then went and had a massage. Then went and had a spicy SPICY dinner with the family. None of that worked. lol Then Sunday we did two more long walks, had a pineapple, more spicy dinner, and still...nothing. Still having contractions here and there...have an appt. on Wednesday (if I make it til then) to see how things are going. I was dilated to 3 the last time they checked, so I really hope something happens soon, or I've progressed enough by Wednesday that I can induce. Sarah - let's get these ladies out!!!

After I lost my plug it took 48 hours. I bet your time is very soon Amy! I wouldn't be surprised if you go into the docs now and you are at a 4. Some women just don't progress fast until their water breaks.

Yeah, I kinda thought with everything else going on, after losing my plug it would be a matter of hours. But nope, still waiting. Contractions are about 10 minutes apart today. I hate to say it, but I'm ready to just crawl in a ball and cry. Between the issues with DH right now and this baby not coming, I'm just overwhelmed. I know adding the stress of a baby won't help at all, but at least I won't be in labor pains anymore.

It really must suck to be in labor pain that long :-( ((hugs)) I am going to chant all day long for you to go into active labor! haha Have you tried pressure point therapy? Check into on the internet, I think it's two spots on your hand or wrist that help increase contractions if you already have them. It helped me last time!

Yeah, i was doing those all weekend. unfortunately i have to be able to use my hands at work, so i cant just sit here and put pressure on them all day...but i've been doing it sparatically.

Traditional midwifes have homeopathic remedies to keep contractions going (or to have them come back once they started and then stopped). I cannot remember the names of the herbs but they would definitely know.

There is also a point on your foot that is supposed to start labor. That's why they say don't get a pedi at the end of a pregnancy.

amy, one trick I learned from my MIL (she used to work at a chiro's office) is to put a can of soup under your desk and put your foot on it and roll it back and forth... it actually feels amazing!

got the membranes stripped today... didn't hurt, just a bit of pressure.. though it seemed to last longer than I remember lol
still around 2 cm, and 70%effaced, however during the exam the doc was like, I don't know how she hasn't dropped out of you yet... lol I guess she baffles even the best OB's and now its to a hurry up and wait kind of thing.. but I suspect it won't be too long... Doc things between Sunday and Tuesday.. though it is obvious that this little lady has her own agenda!
