I haven't seen the movie yet, but I did read the book. It had a slow start but was VERY good--dark and disturbing, but interesting characters and compelling.

Yes Heaven is for real is a Christian book.
The hunger games was amazing! I read all 3 books in less than a week. I can't wait for the movie!

I googled it and yes I agree Sharon.
Unsure if the book would be appealing to a non-Christian?
Love- I want to read those books too, I refuse to watch movie first though because then I will never read the book.

I think "Heaven is for Real" would appeal to anyone of any faith that has a young child... to know that a Child experienced this is remarkable to me!! I want to read it more as a mom, than as a Christian.

Ordered and already finished with Hunger Games. AMAZING. One of the best I have ever read. I just wish the second book in the trilogy didn't cost $10 on the iPad.

Just finished Faith. It was interesting and led to a bit of discussion with the Catholic upbringing of many in my household.

If any of you have Harry Potter fans in the house -- tween age or so -- I'm reading the "Fablehaven" series by Brandon Mull and it's a good one for kids in that genre. Very imaginative, magical creatures/ good vs evil / kids have to step up etc. Just wanted to pass it along for you and your kiddos.

Anyone know how to get e-books for less money? $5-9 isn't bad but I can read a book in one night so sometimes it seems like a lot of money.

I'm ready The Hunger Games right now. Okay so far. I'm only about page 75 though.
Yes, I was going to say, check out your local library for e-books. I got Hunger Games for my Nook Tablet for $4. Not sure I'll get the other 2 if they are that expensive.
nevaehsmom - I loved Water for Elephants! Great book!
