Everyone is always looking for new books to read so let's share what we are reading. Be sure to list the author too so others can find it if they want to read it. Feel free to leave your comments about it too!

I am about half way through Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt - Its a memoir of his life growing up in poverty in Ireland, hard to get into at first but now I can't put it down!

The Grace of Silence by Michelle Norris. It's about the author's family's experiences related to race, and about the conversations about race they never had. When she did the series on NPR about race in York, Pennsylvania she decided to write a book about the conversations we don't have in this country about race. When she started researching, she found secrets in her own family's past and that became the story she needed to tell.

"Clean Cut" by Theresa Monsour. It's a murder mystery that takes place in St. Paul. Purely fictional, at least I hope so!

I just finished a book called "Rain Village" by Carolyn Turgeon. It was such a great book. It was about a girl born tiny. She starts as a town freak until she meets an amazing woman who has a mysterious background. She finds her way to join a circus and fall in love then finds out answers to the mysteries the woman carried. It was a great read.
Now I"m reading "Mermaid" by Carolyn Turgeon, it's an adult spin off of The Little Mermaid.

A Song of Fire and Ice series by George R. R. Martin...a fantasy series for people who aren't into fantasy.
HBO made a show out of it, called Game of Thrones. I watched the first season, got hooked, and am now reading the books. They're fabulous.
