I just read Seriously ...I'm Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres. It's a quick, fun read.

I'm waiting on "The Help", a friend of mine is going to loan it to me when she's done - can't wait! I just started "Fadeaway Girl" by Martha Grimes. Not bad so far.

The Shack is great... Also try SO You Don't Want to go to Church Anymore....is not like it sounds at all-- it has ad for the Shack in back and vice versa I think. I loved the Help, I love the Princess Bride book-- variations from the movie. I'm actually reading the development of psychopathology (for class), but love James Patterson, esp. the women's murder club series. There are also a few other series I like but I have to wait for the next ones to come out. I got a book for DD from American Girl...the Care and Keeping of You...DD is 10 and this book talks about growing up....from teeth, to skin to emotions, hair care, to puberty...really age appropriate and she is only interested in certain sections right now, but if she is embarrassed to ask questions she has an accurate source to get more info... she definitely does not want to talk about looming changes in her body...yet

Bossypants by Tina Fey, it's pretty funny so far!
I'm also in the middle of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Next - 3rd book in the series. That has taken me a while to get into, but now it's starting to get good.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins -- AMAZING book (it's the first book in a trilogy). They are entirely engrossing, suspenseful, "What's going to happen next???" kind of thrillers. They're a bit dark and violent but the characters are great, it's very intense. LOVED all three books in the trilogy.

I just started reading Sarah's Key. I'm only 15 pages into it, but it's sucked me in already! Hopefully the rest of it is good.

I just finished You And No Other by Jane Weiss and Bonnie Zahn.
It's the story of two women, who in the 80's were each married to men and had 4 children and then fell in love with each other. It's their memoir, written now, after more than 2 decades together. They each wrote sections, so you get to hear the events from each of their perspectives. It's incredibly painful and emotional at times, but also so uplifting and definitely has a happy ending.
