I'm still working on A People's History of the United States. It's a very dense 700 pages. I'm closing in on 500 though.

Just finished We Are Water by Wally Lamb - took me a long time. Lots of jumping around and when I only read a bit at a time, it felt like I was always catching up.

I finished the Shadow Falls - Born series by CC Hunter. Very good young adult/supernatural type stories, easy and entertaining reads & have good messages for teens about feeling like you don't belong, friendship, dealing with life upheaval and change, stuff like that. So they were good!

Yes, I did see that there was a series coming out that features Della. I'll have to check those out once they're published!

For Christmas, my sister got me A Year of Biblical Womanhood by Rachel Held Evans. I'm about halfway through it. It's pretty entertaining and insightful at the same time. So far I'm enjoying it!

I finished Vampire Academy last week, that was good! I have the next few in the series on hold at the library. Over my lunch break today I finished Maze Runner. Scary and intense!! Those two books were both on a list I saw of "books to read before the movies come out" and were worth a read. I'm now on book four of the Vampire Academy series. I liked book one, the second was OK, the third was great, the fourth is OK ... but getting better as it goes on. There are six so I have a couple more to go. They're about a teenage vampire who is a "good" one (there are bad ones too) and since she's in a high 0school setting there's plenty of back stabbing, unrequited/ forbidden love, friendship, "who am I?" issues along with danger and suspense. There are plenty of good twists and turns to keep it interesting. This was another book in the "Read before the movies come out" list.
